Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

And do not be drunk with wine,
in which is dissipation;
but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always for all things to God the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:18–21

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit.
Please fill me with Thy Spirit today.
Living in the fullness of Your Holy Spirit is my desire.
To sing praises to You.
To give thanks to You…
…even in the most difficult of times.
To submit to Your Lordship with holy fear.
To submit to one another in holy love.
To live to glorify You is only possible…
…when the fullness of Your Spirit is governing me.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
