Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

But I fear, lest somehow,
as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness,
so your minds may be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he who comes preaches another Jesus
whom we have not preached,
or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received,
or a different gospel which you have not accepted
—you may well put up with it!
2 Corinthians 11:3–4

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
We need Your help today.
Deception is wide-spread throughout our culture,
And within Your church.
There is a blatant undermining of the authority of God’s Word.
Presenting another Jesus.
Compromising the truth to accommodate sin.
Rejecting the work of sanctification.
Rejecting the transformational work of the Holy Spirit.
Identifying with a sinful past, instead of identifying completely in Christ.
Tainting the redemptive blood of Christ by living a leavened-lifestyle.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
