Revelation 2:28: And I will give him the morning star.

Jesus and His Word

Jesus Christ is the Bright and Morning Star. Christ’s coming for His own at the Rapture is the hope of the church. “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). 1

Jesus and His Ways

  • Jesus, thank You for Your light, that continues to direct my steps, out of the shadows of sin and into Your marvelous grace and truth. – “Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1:78–79
  • Jesus, thank You for the light You bring from Your holy word; You are transforming me to become more like You. – “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19
  • Jesus, thank You for being my Light; and thank You for ruling my life by Your patient love. – “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

Jesus and His Work

The only light I need is from the One who lights up the world. – TWEET IT

Jesus and His Promise

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” Revelation 22:16
