FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 12:1b: beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Just as Jesus Christ had to take on Himself a body in order to accomplish God’s will on earth, so we must yield our bodies to Christ that He might continue God’s work through us. We must yield the members of the body as “instruments of righteousness” for the Holy Spirit to use in the doing of God’s work. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. Romans 6:13

There is a daily presentation of our lives before the throne of God. We come before Him in prayer. We come in the name of Jesus. We submit to Him and to His purposes for our life. We say: “Not my will, but Thy will be done.” We joyfully listen to His instructions for the day, or sometimes for just the next step. We are a glorious instrument in the hands of our heavenly Conductor. May the music of our obedience to His Lordship, become a song of praise in His presence.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

To yield to Him is to die to self. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; 1 Thessalonians 4:1

Dear Father, I desire to abound more and more in Your grace so that I can have a walk that is pleasing and glorifying to You. Amen.
