Proverbs 1:19: So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners.

Insight

We live in a materialistic age today. Covetousness is the great sin of the hour. 1

Application

I remember hearing someone once say something like this: “Why do we buy things we do not need, with money we do not have, to impress people we do not know?” It is a great question to ponder. Greed will only hold you hostage. Generosity will always set you free.

Motivation

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21

To be content with all that the Lord has provided is more powerful than the uncertainty of riches. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, please keep my heart close to the treasures that I have found in You.
