Proverbs 31:24: She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants.

Insight

Not only has she sufficient to clothe her household and herself, but her unwearying industry enables her to produce linen garments and girdles for the caravan-merchants, who readily purchase the work of her hands, to carry them too distant places. Thus she is “bearing fruit in good works,” and her abundant labors provide clothing for those far-removed from her own dwelling. The spiritual lesson is easily seen. She who is faithful in ministering at home, and clothes herself in a garment of practical godliness and righteousness, will have enough and to spare for the blessing of others in “the regions beyond.” 1

Application

He will supply all the basics necessities of life that you need, and so much more, as you use the gifts and skills He provides. Remember, your job is not your identity. It is however His provision for you to meet your needs. You have been saved to serve Him and be about your Fathers business. If you do little to serve Him and if you do much to serve yourself, you should really reconsider why He gave His life for you.

Motivation

Syria was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made. They gave you for your wares emeralds, purple, embroidery, fine linen, corals, and rubies. Ezekiel 27:16

When you pray for an opportunity, He will provide an opportunity. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, thank You for the creative gifts You give, that help to supply all the other needed provisions, day by day.
