Proverbs 1:5: A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.

Insight

This has been the characteristic of all great men. They never reached the place where they felt that they had learned everything. 1

Application

The first person to listen to is God. God has spoken and the Holy Spirit recorded His Words in a book called the Holy Bible. Your learning will be paralyzed until you dig deep into His Word with consistent diligence. Once you become a student of the Word, then the Holy Spirit can deliver wise counsel because your soul is being washed and renewed in His Word.

Motivation

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. John 13:17

Prayer

Father, thank You for wanting me to learn more about You. Thank You for Your Son who continues to reveal Your grace and truth to me. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that leads me in the paths of righteous living. Forgive me for neglecting time with You. Please fill me with Your Spirit. I want to know You more. I want to do Your will.
