Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

For indeed, when we came to Macedonia,
our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side.
Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.
Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast,
comforted us by the coming of Titus,
and not only by his coming, but also by the consolation
with which he was comforted in you,
when he told us of your earnest desire,
your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.
2 Corinthians 7:5–7

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
I am learning to find my rest in You.
When conflicts and fears arise, You comfort me.
Please forgive me for failing to yield to Your loving promises.
You even send others to provide Your Godly comfort to me.
You lift me up when I am downcast.
You encourage me with all Your faithful promises.
You give me hope knowing You can rapture the church at anytime.
You work within Your family.
I have personally experienced Your loving zeal for me.
I rejoice in Your truth, and I rest in promises of Your Word.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
