Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies
and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3–4

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for teaching me how to praise Your name.
I bless Your name when I obey Your Word.
Thank You for Your abundant mercies.
Thank You for being there in my greatest sorrow.
Thank You for being there in my brokenness over sin.
You truly comfort me when others have hurt me.
You even comfort me…
…when I have grieved You with my disobedience.
Thank You for allowing me to experience personal tribulation.
You keep teaching me to trust You in the storms of life.
And thank You for the many blessed opportunities to comfort others…
…just like You have comforted me.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
