Psalm 139:1: O Lord, You have searched me and known me.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

This speaks of the omniscience of God. He knows you. He knows me. He is the greatest psychologist. When you have a problem, it is not necessary to climb upon the psychiatrist’s couch and tell him everything. Why don’t you climb upon the couch of the Lord Jesus and just tell Him everything? You might as well tell Him because He knows all about you anyway. The psychiatrist still won’t know you even after you have told him everything you can think of. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart. Psalm 44:21

  • The One who knows you, loves you, even when you fail. But You, O Lord, know me; You have seen me, and You have tested my heart toward You. Jeremiah 12:3
  • The One who knows you, wants you to live with a knowledge of His abiding presence. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13
  • The One who knows you, wants you to know Him. As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you. 1 Chronicles 28:9

Knowing the One who knows everything, is beyond our knowledge.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for being the All-Knowing God. Dear Jesus, please teach me more about the meaning of loyal love.
