1 John 2:14: I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.

In verse 13, he had simply spoken of victory over Satan. Now he wrote, You are strong, and the Word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. By repeating the three categories under which he here addressed his audience, John suggested not only that they possessed spiritual attainments worthy of being called children, fathers, and young men, but also that they possessed these attainments in ample measure. 1

Loving Him

How has the Word of God strengthened you? How will you allow His Word to transform your life over the next year? How does evil flee when you believe the promises of His Word?

For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 3 John 3

Loving Others

Changing Me

Lord, thank You for being more powerful than all the wickedness of this world.
