1 John 5:3: For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

May I say to you, the child of God ought to recognize that he is not to be looking for someone to do something for him, but he is to be expressing love in real action and in real concern for others. “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). If you love the Lord Jesus, if you love your heavenly Father, you are going to love other believers. You will know that you are keeping His commandments, and they will not be a burden to you at all. The Lord Jesus said, “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt. 11:30). It will be heavy unless you have the real love for the Lord and you truly want to serve Him. Then church work and other ministries will never become difficult. 1

Loving Him

Micah 6:8 says: “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

What are the good things that the Lord is requiring of you? What is the just (or right) thing He wants you to do with much grace? Will you show someone mercy today, just as the Lord has been merciful to you? Are you known for your humility?

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 8:12

Make Me Like You

Lord, thank You for showing me mercy and love and for being my Humble Servant and Glorious Savior.
