FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 1:1b: Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

The word apostle means “one who is sent by authority with a commission.” It was applied in that day to the representatives of the emperor or the emissaries of a king. One of the requirements for an apostle was the experience of seeing the risen Christ. Paul saw Christ when he was on the road to Damascus, and it was then that Christ called him to be His apostle to the Gentiles. Paul received from Christ divine revelations that he was to share with the churches. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead. Galatians 1:1

Jesus, thank You for being the Resurrection and the Life. You conquered death so we could live eternally with You. You conquered Saul and transformed him into Paul the apostle. You conquered me, and are transforming me more into Your image day by day. Thank You for calling me to Yourself. Thank You for the privilege of being sent out for the purposes of Your Kingdom, during my stay on earth.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Being sent out as an ambassador for my King causes me to bow humbly before His throne of grace, for my daily assignment. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Dear Father, thank You for being in charge of my life. It is You who saved me and it is You who will keep me, and it is You who will equip me. It is You who will use me. Please forgive me for my self confidence. I choose to rest in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen
