FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 13:11–12: And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

In this closing section an alarm clock goes off to waken believers who have gone to sleep in the world and have forgotten this added incentive for yielding their total personalities to God. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you yield your total personalities—all you are, all you have—to God. This is what you are supposed to be doing. If we really are looking for the return of Christ, it will purify our lives. “And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.” 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

But concerning the times and the seasons…you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1–2

We can be very concern about many things in life, but fail to be concerned about the most important thing. So are you really seeking Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Do you give adequate time to His word and prayer each day? Are you concerned enough for your lost family member or personal friend? A day is coming very soon when all those opportunities will be gone. May we experience our life in Christ as a day by day experience in His grace, love, and truth.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

It is usually later than we think, and we usually fail to be fully prepared. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

“…look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28

Dear Father, may I look up, and live up, to the purposes You have for my life.
