FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 16:23: Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Gaius was the man in whose home Paul was residing at Corinth. First Corinthians 1:14 told how Paul won Gaius to Christ and baptized him when he founded the church in Corinth. Apparently there was an assembly of believers meeting in his house. Erastus held a high office in the city, probably the treasurer. The Gospel reached into high places in Corinth as well as into low places (1 Cor. 1:26–31; 6:9–11). 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Would you consider hosting a home fellowship in your home? Would you consider attending a weekly home fellowship close to your home? How could a home fellowship encourage your life as a Christian? Do you use your professional work position to be a servant of Jesus to others? Have you ever prayed about the possibility of God using you to bring the gospel to those in executive positions in your work place, on your campus or to your community leaders?

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Serving Jesus is not a position to parade, it is a lifestyle to live.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Lord, thank you for giving me courage when I become uncomfortable with the thought of doing something new or different.
