Psalm 145:17–18: The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

Whoever you are and wherever you are, if you mean business with God, you can come into His presence through Christ. “The Lord is nigh [He is near] unto all them that call upon him.” There are many folk who are stiff–arming God. That is one reason. If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you have direct access to God. If you are unsaved, God invites you to come to Him for salvation. God is available. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. Psalm 89:14

  • Call upon the One who will always answer you with the solid truth. – “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:4
  • Call upon the One who knows all about your pain and sorrow, and wants to heal your broken heart. – “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalm 34:18
  • Call upon the One who has made His home in your heart. He is there for you. – “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:23

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for making a way to enter Your throne room of grace. Dear Jesus, teach me to forsake my fears, and to embrace Your invitation.
