Jesus is Essential

John 10:40–42: And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptizing at first, and there He stayed. Then many came to Him and said, “John performed no sign, but all the things that John spoke about this Man were true.” And many believed in Him there.

Have you responded personally to our Lord’s three great declarations recorded in this chapter? He is the Door. Have you “entered in” by faith so that you are saved? He is the Good Shepherd. Have you heard His voice and trusted Him? After all, He laid down His life for you! He is the Son of God. Do you believe that? Have you given yourself to Him and received eternal life? 1

Walking with Jesus

How has Jesus been your door? What has passed over Him to you? Even if your situation is difficult, how does Jesus show Himself as your Good Shepherd? Are you secure with your eternal destination?

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24

We are free to choose, but we are not free from the consequences.

Praying

Lord, thank You for being my Way, my Truth, and My Life.
