Jesus is Essential

John 6:57–59: As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.

All the people on earth can be divided into two groups. There are those who know the satisfaction Christ brings. They have partaken of him. Some in that group are more satisfied than others because they have been eating the Bread more consistently.

There are others who know nothing of the satisfaction Jesus gives. They have never had true inner satisfaction. They know others who have the full and abundant life Christ offers, but they are on the outside looking in. 1

Walking with Jesus

What can change your relationship with God, to bring you into a deeper fellowship with Him? If you are on the outside looking in, then come inside His house more frequently, and eat and drink of His love, and of the Word of Life.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Christianity: are you a spectator in the stands, or a participant on the field?

Praying

Lord, thank You for inviting me to Your table to eat every day from your Word.
