Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

Having predestined us
to adoption as sons
by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will,
to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:5–6

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for accepting me in the Beloved.
You accepted me “as is,” with all my faults and failures.
I offered You no good reason to save me.
I was loss, sinful, and rebellious.
You were loving, merciful, and kind.
I am still amazed at Your loving good pleasure.
That it was a joyful act for You to die for the sins of the world.
Because You desire that none should perish…You died for me.
Redemption was a part of Your eternal plan.
Your predetermined purpose was…Your death for my sins.
You paid for my salvation, my adoption, and my eternal acceptance.
Everything I ever wanted is found in You.
I am His. He is mine.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
