Psalm 139:5–6: You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

There are some people whom you accept and receive, and then in some way they disappoint you. You thought you knew them, but you really did not know them. God knows us and yet he will save us. How wonderful He is! God knew David, and David let Him down. But God knew something about David’s faith that we could not see. He could see David’s heart, and beneath the faith that failed was a faith that never failed. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. Psalm 40:5

  • Thank God now for all that He will reveal to you in heaven. – That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace. Ephesians 2:7
  • Thank God now for all that He will reveal to you on earth. – Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! Romans 11:33
  • Thank God now for all the ways He will reveal His love and truth and guidance to you. – For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

He was already there, long before you ever arrived.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for blessing me with your unconditional love. Dear Jesus, please teach me more about Your creation.
