Psalm 139:3: You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
My running and my resting are alike within thine observation. I may leave thy path, but thou never leaves mine. I may sleep and forget thee, but thou dost never slumber, nor fall into oblivion concerning thy creature. The Lord judges our active life and our quiet life; he marks that in them which is good and also that which is evil. Nothing is concealed from thee, nor misunderstood by thee. 1
Living the Transformed Life
He sees my ways, and counts all my steps. Job 31:4
- Does His abiding presence fill you with awe, so that you do not sin? For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths. Proverbs 5:2
- Does His abiding presence fill you with courage, so that you fear not? What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
- Does His abiding presence fill you with delight, so that you do not mourn hopelessly? Thus says the Lord: “Refrain your voice from weeping, And your eyes from tears; For your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord, And they shall come back from the land of the enemy. Jeremiah 31:16
The One who is always present, lovingly draws you into His abiding presence.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for always being with me, no matter what is happening. Dear Jesus, thank You for always abiding with me, in me, and around me.
