Changed by His Love

1 John 5:12: He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

“He that hath the Son hath life.” He didn’t say, “He that belongs to the church has life.” You might say, “I’m a Baptist” or “I’m a Methodist” or “I’m a Presbyterian” or “I’m a Nazarene” or “I belong to the Church of God.” It does not matter what church you belong to—your church membership does not mean you are saved. Then what does it mean to be saved? “He that hath the Son hath life.” The question is: Do you have Christ? Is He your Savior? Are you trusting Him in such a way that no one on earth or in heaven can shake your confidence in Him?

My friend, if you haven’t come to that point, you haven’t come anywhere at all. To be saved means you trust Christ, and it means you have Christ as your Savior. “He that hath the Son hath life.” He’s our lifeboat. He’s our lifeline. He’s our only hope. We are lost without Him, but if we have Him, we have life. That is the record. Do you believe God, or don’t you believe God? If you don’t believe Him, you make Him a liar. My friend, John has this down right where you can get it. You cannot miss this. The only thing right now that will keep you from coming to Christ is the sin in your life that you don’t want to give up. That is the only thing in the world which will stop you. That is the decision you make. 1

Loving Him

Christ is our only hope to spend an eternity with Him. There is no Plan B. It is not dependent upon your confidence, or your social club. It is entirely dependent upon your confession of faith in Jesus Christ alone. Do you truly have the Son of God?

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36

Loving Others

Every decision has a consequence.

Make Me Like You

Lord, thank You for making my most important decision in life very understandable.
