1 John 5:5: Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Our faith in Christ, by which we are regenerated, constitutes a victory over the world system which is satanically blinded to the gospel. Who is it then that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. With these words, the writer affirmed that a believer is a world-conqueror by means of his faith in Christ. This suggests that such faith is the secret of his continuing victory and, for that reason, obedience to God’s commands need not be burdensome. 1

Loving Him

Are you ready to overcome your greatest fears today? Read what Jesus promised to you in Matthew 11:28-30. Are you wiling to believe Him and embrace His promise with the fulness of your faith today. Will you believe and receive? Will you receive His grace and be an overcomer right now?

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

Loving Others

A continual experience of victory comes from a continual life of obedience.

Make Me Like You

Lord, thank you for allowing Your grace to overcome my sinfulness, through faith in You.
