1 Corinthians 13:6: Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, yet the Corinthians were boasting about sin in their church (1 Cor. 5). Love “shall cover the multitude of sins.” Like Noah’s sons, we should seek to hide the sins of others, and then help them make things right (Gen. 9:20–23). 1

Application

  • Read Romans 1:18. How important is telling the truth to God?
  • Read 1 Peter 4:8. What will you be able to do if you have fervent love for another?
