1 Corinthians 11:1: Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

This verse should belong to the tenth chapter, as it is the conclusion of the preceding discussion, and a new subject is introduced with the next verse. Paul had referred to his own conciliatory conduct as an example to the Corinthians, and he exhorts them to imitate him as he did Christ, who is the ultimate standard. 1

Application

  • Read Romans 15:4-6. How has your daily study in His word given you hope?
  • What can you do to demonstrate Christ-likeness to another person in your home, on your campus, or at your job this week?
