Revelation 3:1: “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
Jesus and His Word
My friend, the church today needs the Spirit of God working in it. We think we need methods. What we really need to do is to get to the person of Christ whom only the Holy Spirit can make real and living to us. 1
Jesus and His Ways
- Jesus, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. I want to know You more, and I want to surrender more, in the fullness of Your love. – “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” John 15:26
- Jesus, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. May I never hinder the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. – “Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.” Acts 2:33
- Jesus, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. May I live my life with the complete assurance that Your saving blood has forgiven all my sins. – “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” Ephesians 1:13

Jesus and His Promise
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37–38
