John 15:11: These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Jesus had great joy in pleasing His Father by living a fruitful life. The purpose of His teaching is to give man an abundant life, not a joyless existence. The commands for His disciples to obey are for their joy. 1

Your Word is Truth

God’s commandments are for our fulfillment. A satisfied life is found in following Him in the truth and light. What command do you struggle obeying? Ask God now for the grace to obey that specific command. May your next step be in willful obedience to Your Savior. His joy awaits you.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. –John 10:10

Your Will be Done

Lord, thank You for teaching me about your joy that never leaves.
