1 John 4:19: We love Him because He first loved us.

He loved us when we were unlovely. He is worth loving. He is worthy. The Lamb is worthy of all of our love, all of our devotion, all of our service. 1

Loving Him

Read Revelation 5:8-14 for a biblical response to the One who loved us first, and to the One who has never stopped loving us. This is how we express our gratitude to our Savior and Lord and Lamb. If you pray these verses into your heart, it will bring about a greater surrender towards His leadership in your life.

Among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:3–5

Make Me Like You

Lord, thank You for loving me when I was a committed sinner, with no ability to justify myself.
