John 13:2: And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him.
Another person had entered into the room. There was an uninvited guest present. His name was Satan. We speak of thirteen persons in the Upper Room, but actually, there were fourteen because Satan was there. Satan put into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray Him. Wherever the Devil gets into Christian work, others are affected and the Lord must wash them. He must wash us if we are to have fellowship with Him. 1
Your Word is Truth
The “uninvited guest” wants to be the center of attention in your life. He will do everything to distract you and deceive you into believing his plans are better than God’s. How are you resisting the devil? How are you drawing near to God? Do you submit to God with joyful delight, or do you protest with a complaining attitude? Be careful of the “uninvited guest” who wants to influence you. Be filled with His Spirit instead.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. –Ephesians 6:10–11

Your Will be Done
Lord, thank You for rescuing me from the darkness of the devil and transporting me into the glorious kingdom of His light.
