John 7:10–15: But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?” And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.” However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews. Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”
The first three days passed without anyone seeing Jesus. The crowds wondered if He would come and perhaps claim to be the Messiah. Then halfway through the Feast He began teaching in the temple courts. As the official religious leaders listened to Him along with the crowds they were amazed. His teaching was learned and spiritually penetrating. Yet He had never been a disciple in any Rabbinic school. They wondered how this could be possible. 1
Your Word is Truth
When was the last time you were sincerely amazed at the teachings of Jesus? When was the last time you told someone that you were in awe of Jesus? Is your belief in Jesus more than just an intellectual acknowledgement of a great spiritual leader?
And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. –Mark 1:22

Your Will be Done
Lord, I am so sorry for all the excuses people make to reject You. Please forgive us.
