Mark 3:13–14: And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach.

Jesus spent all night in prayer before choosing these twelve men. When He selected them, He had three purposes in mind: (1) training them by personal example and teaching, (2) sending them out to preach the Gospel, and (3) giving them authority to heal and cast out demons. These twelve men would thus be able to continue His work when He returned to the Father, and they would also be able to train others to carry on the ministry after them. 1

Your Word is Truth

Are you following the example of Jesus? Are you being trained or are you to busy to prepare yourself to do a Kingdom work on earth? Is training others a part of your spiritual vision? Do you need to make any changes in your current priorities?

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. –2 Timothy 2:2

You Alone are God

Your Will be Done

Lord, thank You for trusting me to disciple Your children.
