Mark 1:42–45: As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” However, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction.

So this healed man blazed abroad the news. He disobeyed the Lord, however. I used to go over after I had finished preaching to help preach for a very wonderful preacher in Texas. I got over there one evening before he had finished preaching, and I want to tell you, he said one of the wisest things I’ve heard about this. Preaching on this section of the Gospel of Mark, he said, “The Lord told him not to tell anybody and he told everybody. He tells us to tell everybody and we tell nobody.” I thought that was good. I want to say, friend, the disobedience of this cleansed leper is not as bad as our disobedience today. We are to tell everybody and we tell nobody. 1

Your Word is Truth

Do you pray and ask God to open doors of opportunities to share of His goodness? The cure for a stale faith is to purposely tell others about the faithfulness of God everyday.

The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad. –Psalm 126:3

You Alone are God

To proclaim daily the great things God has done is the normal Christian life. – TWEET IT

Your Will be Done

Lord, thank You for cleansing me of all my sins. Now I am ready for heaven!
