The Life and Ministry of Jesus
Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Matthew 13:40–43
Let believers in Christ take comfort when they read this parable; let them see that there is happiness and safety prepared for them in the great and dreadful day of the Lord. The voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God will proclaim no terror for them: they will summon them to join what they have long desired to see—a perfect church and a perfect fellowship of saints.
How beautiful will the whole body of believers appear when finally separated from the wicked! How pure will the wheat look in God’s barn when the weeds are eventually taken away! How brightly will grace shine when no longer dimmed by incessant contact with the worldly and unconverted! 1
Personal Encouragement
Are you more concerned with “being known” by the world, or by God?
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1
There is a day coming when God will eternally right all wrongs.
A Prayer
Lord, thank You for teaching me how to live righteously in an unrighteous world.
