The Life and Ministry of Jesus

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. Matthew 12:31–32

There is no act of sin that you could commit for which there is no forgiveness. Of course, if you resist the Holy Spirit, there is no forgiveness because He is bringing forgiveness. It is like the man who is dying from a certain disease, and the doctor tells him there is a remedy for it.

The man refuses to take the remedy and dies, not from the disease but from refusing to take the remedy. There is a remedy for the disease of sin, and the Holy Spirit applies it; but if you resist it, there is no remedy. That is the only way sin can be unpardonable today. 1

Personal Encouragement

There is no sin that Jesus will not forgive. His blood was for all the sins of all humanity. But that forgiveness is applied only to those who are asking to be forgiven. The asking comes as the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin. Do you welcome, or resist, the work of the Holy Spirit in your life?

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15

The only unforgivable sin is the sin you are unwilling to confess.

A Prayer

Lord, thank You for declaring me righteous and making me ready for eternity.
