FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 1:13: Now I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

In chapter 15 the apostle says he was ready to visit Rome. It is probable that the hindering which he refers to here was the incessant calls for apostolic labor, which left him no time. Since, however, his travels seem to be providentially guided (Acts 16:6–7, 9), it may be that the Spirit who had forbidden him to preach in Asia had up to then forbidden him to visit Rome. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Acts 14:27

Jesus, thank You for wanting to do so much more that we can possible imagine. You want to save the world from sin and death. You want to heal the broken hearted. You want to set free those bound up in the consequences of their sin. You want the fruit of the Spirit to abound in our lives and in our fellowship. You want to open doors of faith and do marvelous and wonderful works.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

God will give you a desire, and God will work that desire out in your life. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Dear Father, thank You for giving me the desire to want to bear fruit and share fruit. I trust my purposeful intentions with Your perfect timing…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
