FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 7:5–6: For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

What is different about Christian service as opposed to our old life of sin? To begin with, the Holy Spirit of God energizes us as we seek to obey and serve the Lord. Under Law, no enablement was given. God’s commandments were written on stones and read to the people. But under grace, God’s Word is written in our hearts. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. 2 Corinthians 3:2–3

The law was written on stone and said: DO! But the Sprit wrote words of grace upon your heart and said: DONE! Are you living a “do life” or a “done life?” Are you still bound by the commands of the law, or have you been released by the abundance of the Spirit? The answer is simple. If you are living a frustrated and defeated life, you are still trying to meet the demands of the law. If you are living a Spirit-filled life, you are running your race, filled with grace. There is joy. There is hope. There is freedom.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Grace changes everything, when everything has been changed by grace. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

“…for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6

Dear Father, please fill me today in the fullness of Your Spirit…in Jesus’ name. Amen
