FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
The theme of chapter 8 is the Holy Spirit. Until this point, there have only been two mentions of the Spirit in Romans. The first was a passing reference to “the Spirit of holiness” (1:4), and the other described the Holy Spirit as pouring out the love of God within our hearts (5:5). Now chapter 8 mentions the Holy Spirit twenty times! Second Corinthians 3:17 says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Romans 8 is the chapter of liberation through God’s Spirit. My hope is that our study of it will enable us to live more and more in “the glorious freedom of the children of God” (v. 21) so that chapter 7 will become less and less our experience. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
May your heart overflow with praise this morning. Do not sink beneath your circumstances. Look up! Look to your Redeemer. He has forgiven all your sins. He has declared you righteous for heaven. He dwells in you. He defends you. He has deleted all the evidence of your sinful past. Therefore there is no condemnation against you because your life is now hidden in Him. Rejoice! Let this good news lift your heart.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:22
Dear Father, I kneel before You with thankful adoration…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
