FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 8:34: Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
Christ has removed all condemnation, and the believer is secure because of the fourfold work of Christ:
- Christ died for us—He was delivered for our offenses;
- Christ was raised from the dead, raised for our justification;
- He is on the right hand of God. He is up there right now, my friend. He is the living Christ. Do you need Him? Why don’t you appeal to Him?
- He makes intercession for us. Did you pray for yourself this morning? You should have. But if you missed praying, He didn’t. He prayed for you. <.li>
How wonderful! This fourfold work of Christ is the reason that nobody can lay anything to the charge of God’s elect. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
I always wondered what Jesus might be saying as He intercedes for us. Perhaps His prayer in John 17:15-18 can reveal His heart of prayer for us today: “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I sent them into the world.”

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1
Dear Father, thank You for being all I need for now and all eternity….in Jesus’ name. Amen.
