FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:10: And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

If you today are not conscious of the presence of the Spirit of God in your life and if you do not have a desire to serve God, then it would be well to do as Paul suggests, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith.“ If you are not sure that Christ is in you, He extends this invitation: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Rev. 3:20). Is your door open? Has He come into you? Are you certain? 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23

Love is an action. Your words must be accompanied by your actions. If you say one thing and do the opposite, then what you said was not very meaningful. If you love God, then you will obey His Word. Fellowship with God is based upon your response to Him. Remember: “If…then!”

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5

Dear Father, please examine me, test me, and purify me…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
