FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 15:17: Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Paul had written boldly to the Romans and was rather apologetic about it because he recognized that these saints in Rome probably did not need his instructions. In spite of this, however, he wrote with confidence to them. There is no personal assumption in this, He is a servant of Christ Jesus and is doing His will. This is important to see. There is one thing that should never characterize a servant of God, and that is pride. We should never become officious, but rather take the position that we are merely serving the Lord Jesus Christ, and He is the One in charge. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Read Ephesians 1:3-6. Will you please make note of all the reasons you can give glory to God that are found in these few verses? Example: He has blessed us, chosen us, predestined us, adopted us…

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

He is the reason we exist. He is the One who has never stopped loving you. Is that enough reason to give Him glory and honor and your obedience?

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Lord, I want to thank You for all the ways You love me.
