FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 2:4: Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness (lovingkindness) of God leads you to repentance?

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

By not exercising His divine penalty on sinful humanity immediately, God is displaying the riches of His kindness, “benevolence in action.” God’s purpose is to lead people toward repentance—a return to Him—through His kindness. Not realizing (lit., “being ignorant of”) God’s purpose, people showed contempt for God’s attributes and actions. People knew of God’s Being through natural revelation, but did not know the purpose of His kindness. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved.) Ephesians 2:4–5

Jesus, thank You for opening my eyes and my heart to the greatness of Your love. Forgive me for never understanding the power of Your endless grace. Forgive me for thinking I could live outside the provision of Your grace. Thank You for Your persistent love that led me to Your throne of mercy and grace and salvation. I was blind, but now I see!

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Never allow your shallow thinking to clog the fountain of His saving grace.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Dear Father, thank You for supplying me with everything I needed for that day of salvation, and for all my needs from that day forward…in Jesus Name. Amen.
