FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 3:26: In His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

It is good to often reflect on this miracle of justification. First, the miracle was made possible because a special radical righteousness exists apart from the Law. This is immensely encouraging because in our radical corruption we could never become acceptable to God. Next, the miracle comes through faith, not works. Everyone can make it in Christ if they want to. Lastly, the miracle of justification is possible because of the genius of God who made his Son a mercy seat, receiving our just judgment and giving us life. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus still forgives. My sin sickened me and enslaved me. There was no escaping its dominating demands. It captured me, It owned me. It ruled me. I was held hostage by “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.” But Jesus had mercy. When the dark veil of sin was lifted, and I saw the glory of Calvary’s Cross, He broke me, He humbled me, and He healed me of my past. His saving grace led me into a grace filled future. It was His open demonstration of love upon a loveless and lost sinner. He is Just, and He is my Justifier. Hallelujah!

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The greatest exchange in human history, was all my sin for all His righteous.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:24-25

Dear Father, thank You for taking the worst of me and giving me the best of Him…in Jesus Name. Amen.
