FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 15:32–33: That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you. Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

A missionary heart is a heart that gives God the credit for everything. All home runs are God’s home runs. Let us pause for a moment and give God the glory for what is happening through us. A missionary heart is a heart that is visionary. Do we have a dream—Spain? If not, let us ask God for one. A missionary heart is a heart that prays passionately. Today it is not “in” to be passionate about anything except our favorite professional sports team. But in God’s Kingdom the great heart passionately strives in prayer. It is impossible to think of history without Paul. Nothing would be the same for any of us were it not for Paul’s remarkable heart for God. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

What kind of a missionary heart do you have? Can you think of an example when you experienced more joy by doing the will of God, instead of doing your own will? Is that something you desire to do more of? Can you start today?

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

It is the location of your heart, not the location of your feet, that will make you a successful missionary for the Kingdom of God.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Lord, give me a missionary heart on my own street and in my own city.
