FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 3:7–8: For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?—as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

If people’s propensity to lie only makes God’s truthfulness stand out more clearly, and thus his glory, why are people condemned for something that glorifies God? To answer in modern terms, Paul would say that the end does not justify the means. Getting to the right place (God’s glory) the wrong way (by man’s sin) can never be justified. As to those who suggest such a thing, Paul says, their condemnation is deserved. Having fully established that the Jews, as well as the Gentiles, stand under the judgment of God’s righteous standards. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Proverbs 12:22

Jesus, because You are also known as the Truth, I will never lose my way in this life. You listen to everything I say and You know my heart before I speak. Sin is never justified, therefore my I never justify my sin, even if it initially has a positive outcome to someone. Teaching more about the fear of God and righteous living.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

No sinner is beyond the grace of God, and no saint is beyond the discipline of God.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. Romans 5:20

Dear Father, it is Your grace upon grace that sustains me…in Jesus Name. Amen.
