FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:7–8: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

This verse reveals how hopelessly incorrigible and utterly destitute the flesh really is. This demolishes any theory that there is a divine spark in man and that somehow he has a secret bent toward God. The truth is that man is the enemy of God. He is not only dead in trespasses and sins but active in rebellion against God. Anything that the flesh produces is not acceptable to God. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4

The Word of God has spoken and has made the absolute truth, perfectly clear for all to hear, receive, and obey. Are you a friend of God or a friend of the world? Are you living to please God or please yourself? The decision is yours.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choice.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Dear Father, teach me to come to You in faith and not in fear…in Jesus Name. Amen.
