FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 2:1: You are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
When you judge other people, you are assuming the position of judge. God is saying that by the same token that you have the right to judge other people by your standards, He has the right to judge you by His standards. If we could see ourselves as God sees us, we could see that we are obnoxious; we are repugnant! My friend, you try to deny God the same privilege you have of sitting in judgment on others. Well, God is going to judge you, and He won’t judge you by your standards, but by His standards. Does that begin to move you? It ought to, because I have found that we don’t come up to God’s standards. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:4–5
Jesus, please forgive me for having a critical spirit. Thank You for not having a critical spirit towards me. Thank You for taking my judgement and setting me free. Teach me to treat others with the same abundant grace that You have bestowed upon me.
FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God
When you are judging others, you are an offense to the grace of God.
FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. James 4:11
Dear Father, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight today…in Jesus Name. Amen.
