FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 10:6–8: But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach)

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

He talks about ascending up to heaven to bring it down, or going down to hell and bringing it up. My friend, the righteousness that Paul is talking about—he quotes from Deuteronomy 30:11–14—is available! You don’t have to make a trip anywhere to get it.

It is available right where you are sitting. People think they have to go to an altar in some sort of meeting to be saved. Salvation is available to you right where you are. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. John 6:50–51

Jesus came from heaven to earth so that we could go from earth to heaven. The journey home to heaven is based upon His righteousness imparted to us, by faith.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Salvation is not elusive and exclusive; It is an eternal gift to the world.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18

Dear Father, thank You for making a way for me to be with You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
