FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 1:10: Making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
They did not know of Paul’s prayer support, but the Lord knew about it and honored it. One of the burdens of Paul’s prayer was that God would permit him to visit Rome and minister to the churches there. Paul had a very perilous journey; and he arrived in Rome a prisoner as well as a preacher. When Paul wrote this letter, he had no idea that he would go through imprisonment and even shipwreck before arriving in Rome! 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
Night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith? Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. 1 Thessalonians 3:10–11
Jesus, thank You for opening my heart to pray dangerous prayers. To pray for opportunities to encourage other Christians in desperate and difficult situations. To be willing to be uncomfortable and inconvenient for the sake of building up the Body of Christ. To make prayer a priority, no matter the time of day or night. Teach me to experience the lives of others in my heart and to agonize in prayer for them.
FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God
A dangerous prayer is a prayer that causes me to surrender everything for the welfare of another.
FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
Dear Father, forgive my anxious fear. I bring everything to You. I need You. I am thankful for You. In faith, I want to pray dangerous prayers…in Jesus name. Amen.
