FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 2:10–11: But glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

The basis of God’s judgment of us will be our works. This does not mean some will be saved by works. Rather, believers will give an account of their works, and nonbelievers will be judged according to their works. The standard of judgment for those with a religious heritage will be the same as those who have none: works. In an eternally real sense, unrepentant man is making deposits in a bank account from which he will one day collect to his unending woe. God cannot be fooled. He is absolutely impartial. Such defenses as “My mother sang in the choir,” “I’m a church member,” “My grandfather was a preacher” will never meet the righteous standards of a holy God. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear. 1 Peter 1:17

Jesus, teach me to walk with You in the “fear of the Lord.” Teach me to open my heart and serve You in the fullness of love, and in the absence of compromise. Teach me to live with hopefulness, especially in difficult circumstances. May I never offer an excuse. May I express a trusting faith in the One who never shows any partiality.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

It is a good work, if the work brings honor and glory to God, and peace to everyone else.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

God shows personal favoritism to no man. Galatians 2:6

Dear Father, make me like Thee, to be favoritism-free…in Jesus Name. Amen.
