FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 9:30–31: What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

You will never be able to reconcile the sovereignty of God and the responsibility of man. But Paul is making it very clear here that if you are going to be saved it is your responsibility. It is “whosoever will may come” (see Mark 8:34) and “… him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37). You can come; don’t stand on the sidelines and say, “I’m not elected.” But I have never heard of anybody being elected who didn’t run for office. If you want to be saved, you are the elect. If you don’t, you’re not. And that is all I know about it. I cannot reconcile election and free will. I have come to the place in the sunset of my life that I can say that God is sovereign, and He is going to do this according to His will. And His will is right—there is no unrighteousness with Him. My friend, why don’t you believe in God? He is righteous, He is good, and whatever He does is right. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ…Philippians 3:9

Please thank God for giving you His grace, and the faith to believe. He provides all you need to come and receive His gift of salvation. May His peace flood your soul today.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

His sovereignty is always at work; my responsibility is to respond in faith.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified… Romans 3:20

Dear Father, thank You for Your salvation and justification…in Jesus Name, Amen.
